I have always enjoyed this restaurant. The food is delicious, especially the Prime Rib French Dip, and the staff has always been accommodating. We typically like sitting in the bar area for the camaraderie of the group of regulars.

Not busy at all when we went, maybe cause it was a Wednesday before dinner, either way, it was a Win Win! If you want to do HH, you have to sit in the bar area & that won't be an issue, because they have quite a few seating at the bar, a booth & high top tables. It does get pretty busy in that area, so it took a while for us to get served, but every one that worked in the restaurant was very super attentive, friendly & on it by checking up on us every time they passed by our table. Even if it was the same questions from every single person, We Appreciate it Customer Service from all the employees you come in contact with. They have a decent HH menu & the pricing for food in general & drinks seemed reasonable. There is plenty of parking because it's located in a shopping plaza & there is plenty of seating inside & outside, so unless they are jammed packed & busy, your guaranteed to get seated right away, or if you have to wait a little. Take a stroll in the plaza & the time won't seem that long

Today I wanted to return to Jack Holder's - hadn't been in awhile. My son met me there around the usual 11 am for Sunday breakfast. When I arrived I had to park in the handicap parking area at least a football field length away as it was packed, and no spaces. My son arrived just as I was getting out of my car, and walked down to see if there was a handicap spot next to the rear entrance - by then there was, so he kindly drove my car down there and parked it for me. I had to walk that football field's length with my rollator which wasn't easy (having more trouble lately walking longer distances) but I made it. When we entered it was packed inside as well as on the covered outside dining area, but there was a low counter next to the kitchen entrance for two people, so we sat there. My son loves their French toast made with Texas toast style bread, very thick and soft, so he had that with some scrambled eggs and a Coca Cola. I had been thinking about their crab salad (hadn't had it in a few years) so I ordered that. This time the red onion wasn't in there, but it was otherwise very good. I asked for extra dressing (1000 Island is my current favorite) and ended up taking a small to-go container of it for later. See photos. The sound level was quite high because all the tables and booths were full, and all the wall mounted TVs tuned to various sports were on as well (probably close to a dozen TVs). It was so busy the staff didn't really smile much as they went about their very efficient work of taking care of everyone, but near the end of our meal my son asked for some more syrup, and Maggie our server brought it and we had a chance to talk for a minute with her. Just from watching her, I think she is probably one of the more experienced and perhaps managerial people involved in the serving side. She suggested next time that I try the apple salad since I enjoyed the crab variety. Next time I might try the crab melt which has crab and shrimp in it, served on sourdough toast. Also considered their cod fish and chips, and for both of those I would have requested a substitution of Gilroy garlic fries. Due to my limited mobility we may not return for awhile, but if you're considering breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner and/or alcoholic beverages, this is a great place for it! Families with kids, couples, friends wanting to enjoy a sporting event on TV, all are welcome.
